GrantStation: State of Grantseeking report, rural community grants webinar

by: Amy Gahran |

If grants are part of the funding stream for your community news, information or engagement project, it helps to see the big picture of who's getting grants, from where, and for what. Recently GrantStation released its free State of Grantseeking report for Spring 2013. It offers comparative detail on grants awarded by:

  • Mission focus
  • Budget range
  • Census division (geography)
  • Service area (urban, "urban cluster," rural)

Also, if your project serves rural communities, on July 18 GrantStation is offering a webinar: Funding Rural America: Finding New Grants for Small Communities ($89).

GrantStation offers many resources and education opportunities for grantseekers, many of which are relevant to community news, information, media and engagement projects. Through Aug. 28, membership is available at their "summer sale" price: $239 for one year, $436 for two.
