Are you applying for the May 16-21 New Entrepreneur Boot Camp? We have a special application for that seminar here: http://www.knightdigitalmediacenter.org/boot_camp_applications/ All other applications should use the information on this page.
Fellowships cover lodging, meals, instruction and reference materials. Fellows are responsible for travel expenses unless otherwise indicated.
Applicants for KDMC@USC issue-oriented seminars or professional growth workshops must be currently employed as professional multimedia journalists and have a minimum of three years of experience.
Applicants for the KDMC@UCB Multimedia Reporting workshops at UC Berkeley should be print and broadcast reporters and editors who want to make the transition to multimedia journalism and professional journalists engaged in preparing their news organizations for convergence.
Both KDMC@USC and KDMC@UCB seminars and workshops are residential and fellows are expected to attend all seminar sessions as well as other related activities, stay in the host hotel and participate in organized meals with other fellows. As part of the application process, fellows agree to share the knowledge they gain from the seminar with colleagues at their news organizations in a form that is most suitable to the subject matter and the organization’s needs.
COMMITMENT TO ACTION: We want to make sure the fellows we select will make a difference when they return to their newsroom. In addition to passing along training, we would ask you to develop an action plan for putting what you learn to work for the benefit of your news organization. All application materials must be filled out online.
