Samaruddin Stewart is managing photography editor for AOL News & Sports. Prior to AOL, Stewart was picture desk editor at Agence France-Presse in Washington, D.C., and spent more than a year as a photojournalist documenting the Campbell Air Race Team’s London to Sydney Air Race. He is a member of the Online News Association, the Society of Professional Journalists, White House News Photographer Association and the National Press Photographers Association, and was awarded the Society of Professional Journalists Diversity Leadership Grant. Stewart received a bachelor of arts in journalism and a master’s of mass communication at the Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.
