Sheila Tomkowiak has nearly 30 years of publications experience as an art director, editor and writer. She is president and associate publisher of GrossePointeToday.com, a community news and information website, and is a principal and creative director of Grayton Integrated Publishing. Prior to co-founding Grayton in 1997, she was design director at a corporate publishing company, handling business-to-business publications and supervising the art department. Previously, she worked as a copy editor, art director, and contributing writer for the Detroit Free Press, and as a photo editor, copy editor, and art director for The Detroit News. Tomkowiak is an adjunct instructor in the journalism department at Wayne State University. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Central Michigan University.
