Joe Michaud started Local Interactive Strategies LLC, a consultancy focused on helping businesses and media succeed in a digital world. One such project was developing the framework for a Chicago-area local ad network to help independent news sites become sustainable, a project funded by the Chicago Community Trust in early 2011. Joe also developed Concert Rat using competitive seed grant funding, matched by in-kind support and angel investment, and launched in 2010.
