Geoff Samek is the hard-driving innovator who co-founded Macer Media LLC, the company behind The Sacramento Press. He is currently the vice president of product development for Macer Media LLC. At Macer Media, Samek primarily oversees continued creation of the Macer Media custom-built Content Management System (CMS), code named Midtown. He aims to be at the cutting edge of local media and news technology by designing tools to help the news industry leap forward. Samek's background is in technology with four years of experience doing development and project management for high profile companies including Live Nation Inc., the world's largest concert promoter and a huge online event ticket seller. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of California, San Diego.
