Michael S. Overing is principal of Michael S. Overing A Professional Law Corporation, a freelance writer and columnist for the Online Journalism Review, reporting and covering digital media legal issues and Internet law. Overing developed and implemented the first Internet Law course at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication. Overing has successfully represented clients in litigation, business transactional matters as well as estate planning and probate. He received his law degree from Loyola Law School, his master's degree from the University of Southern California and his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska. Overing frequently speaks and lectures on intellectual property issues affecting online publishers and writers.
