Knight-Stanford Journalism Fellowships: applications now open

by: Amy Gahran |

Applications are now open for the 2013-14 class of John S. Knight Journalism Fellows at Stanford University. This 10-month program gives journalists and journalism entrepreneurs time, funding, and space to test projects, collaborate, and expand upon ideas.

This fellowship is not an opportunity for a traditional sabbatical. Fellows spend considerable time pursuing innovation proposals. They also participate in classes and other activities at Stanford. And they are expected to to produce something tangible to show at the end of the program. Flexibility and a willingness to change course as needed are encouraged.

Open to full-time journalists, journalism entrepreneurs and innovators, and journalism business and management executives. U.S. applicants should have at least seven years of professional experience; international applicants, at least five.

Learn more and apply now.
DEADLINE: Jan. 15, 2013 (U.S. applications); Dec. 1, 2012 (international applications)

The News and Tools for Digital Innovators blog is made possible by a grant to USC Annenberg from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
