Knight Community Information Challenge: Get help with your application

by: Amy Gahran |

Today applications opened for the Knight Community Information Challenge. Do you have open government ideas that might help people engage more effectively with their local government? Knight is offering a free webinar this week to answer your questions about this competition.

The Knight Community Information Challenge (KCIC) is accepting applications through June 1. Preference is given to projects that incorporate "open government" ideas, such as greater transparency or access to local government data, or improved interaction with local officials. Knight will award matching grants to projects which are supported by community foundations.

Register for the webinar, which will be held May 3 at 3pm ET. You can also e-mail Bahia Ramos at Knight with questions about KCIC.
