Code for America City Fellowships: Apply by March 31

by: Amy Gahran |

Does your city need help addressing community issues or local government challenges? The Code for America City Fellowship program helps civic-minded developers, designers, and product managers spend a year in service to a city. Fellows create small startup teams and collaborate with a local government.

Community and place-based foundations, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and media professionals can all play a role in these teams -- by spurring local interest in forming a team and applying for a fellowship, participating in projects, sponsoring a local fellowship, or assisting as a mentor.

According to Code for America, "Fellows and government staff work together to build apps, foster new approaches to problem solving throughout City Hall, and tackle issues the community is facing. In the past, teams have worked on solving for access to social services, alternatives to incarceration, and new avenues for public input."

Apply now for a fellowship
Deadline: March 31, midnight PST
