Mobile First: Journalism in the multiscreen age, March 31-April 1

by: Melissa Kaplan |

For years, newsrooms and digital media outlets have known that mobile is important -- but what are they doing to demonstrate that it's a high priority? Next week, the Mobile First conference will explore how media companies are connecting with audiences and communities via mobile technology.

On March 31-April 1 at the Reynolds Journalism Institute at the University of Missouri-Columbia, top digital journalism professionals will offer their perspective on topics ranging from mobile content creation processes to revenue strategies and even the role of futurism.

On Monday, March 31, 4:10pm CT, Michael Gay (VP of Interactive Media, Journal Broadcast Group) will discuss how local news has adapted to mobile. Other speakers include:

  • Xavier Damman, Cofounder and CEO, Storify
  • Victor Hernandez, News Futurist, CNN Worldwide
  • David Cohn, Director of News, Circa
  • David Gehring, Global Alliances and Partnership Strategy, Google
  • Laura Evans, VP of Audience Development and Data Science, Scripps Networks Interactive
  • Adriano Farano, Cofounder and CEO, Watchup

Register for the Mobile First live stream of all events. On-site conference attendance is sold out.
