Young digital journalists: Apply for an MJ Bear Fellowship

Up and coming digital journalists under 30 are eligible for the Online News Association's  MJ Bear Fellowship, granting resources and recognition to those who have already shown commitment to their field. This fellowship supports the next generation of digital journalism by granting resources and recognition to those who have shown commitment to their field.

Deadline: Monday, June 6 at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Requirements include an age limit (born between Sept. 26, 1984 and Sept. 25, 1991), fluency in English, employment as a digital journalist and current involvement in a digital journalism project. Full-time students are ineligible.

Fellows from past years have come from a range of different public media. 

Each fellowship includes assignment to a personal Online News Association guide, admission, recognition, travel and accommodations at the annual ONA conference, and three years' ONA membership paid in full.
