Early registration deadlines approaching for fall conferences
Rates will rise at the end of the month for two top digital journalism conferences in Chicago:
The Online News Association's annual conference has three tiers of costs as kick-off approaches. ONA takes place Sept. 25-27; members can register for the three-day conference for $549 until July 24. Non-members pay $879. Student ONA members pay as low as $150 no matter when they register.

The LION Summit, now in its second year and being held at Columbia College Chicago, runs Oct. 16-18 and brings together leaders in independent online publishing. The early-bird registration deadline is July 31; publisher members pay $75, non-publisher members pay $100, and student members pay $35.
