Broadsheet videocast shares best local news practices

New video series Broadsheet shines a light on local media and demonstrates the innovative ideas driving the news industry. The series just launched through media company OwnLocal, which has received funding from the Knight Foundation.

Meant as a way to foster thoughtful conversation, the project will turn 120 hours of anecdotes and interviews from a range of media professionals into topical episodes, including thoughts on why it would help newspapers to think like business startups.

One of the goals of the series is to connect the big thinking behind new ideas in the newsroom with daily news and media practioners running everything on the ground level. OwnLocal CEO Lloyd Armburst explains how the innovations of smaller publications across the country can use this as a platform to share their work.
