Mark your calendar for fall journalism conferences

With summer passing quickly, it’s a good time to think about upcoming conferences that offer opportunities to hone and update your journalism skills, catch emerging trends and grow your network of colleagues. 

Mark your calendars for the following conferences. If you wait too late to sign up, you may miss out on discounted rates.  

ONA 15 convenes in Los Angeles September 24-26 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. The three days are packed with speakers, lectures and workshops, and include the ONA annual awards banquet

Code for America Summit: Transforming 21st Century Governance September 30-October 2 at Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, CA. attracts more than 1,300 government leaders, technologists, and community leaders.

LION Summit returns to Chicago on October 1-3 at the downtown campus of Columbia College Chicago to discuss journalistic excellence and economic well-being of local independent online news sites.

ASNE-APME Annual Conference: 3-D: Digital, Diversity, Disruption, October 16-18 in Silicon Valley at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.  The Associated Press Photo Managers is also a conference partner. The nation's top editors gather at the annual meeting.
