[Archived Webinar, June 2014] Drive to Impact:  Leveling Up Digital Engagement & Social Sharing for Nonprofits

Instructor: Lisa Williams

How can your nonprofit news organization combine social sharing with fundraising and digital engagement? Find out as Lisa Williams discusses lessons learned from dozens of trials of Impaq.me, a tool that allows supporters of community and investigative newsrooms to raise money for the newsroom by sharing articles with their friends and followers on social media.

Impaq.me campaigns have raised money for nonprofits and news organizations. In the process, they have hielded important data about the "digital fingerprint" of each organization's supporters, including:

  • Where they hang out on social media (and whether the organization's social media efforts matched up).
  • What kinds of content were most likely to produce social shares.
  • What kinds of content were most likely to motivate readers to becoming donating supporters.
  • Which social media platform was most effective for each organization
  • How nonprofits used campaign data to demon starte impact to funders.
  • How nonprofits used campaign data to guide additional investment in activities most likely to have impact.

Backgrounder on Impaq.me from Nieman Lab.

The webinar was held at 11 am PT | 2 pm ET on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.
